National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation with WBUR 90.9 FM

On June 29th, Talk of the Nation host Juan
Williams and a distinguished panel will be talking live with Boston citizens
and callers from around the country to discuss America's health care crisis
and the mainstreaming of alternative medicine The broadcast is open to the
public. For reservations or more information, the general public should call
1-888-899-9287. For those who are unable to attend, the broadcast will air
live on NPR member station WBUR 90.9 FM and WBUR 1240 AM West Yarmouth from
2 PM to 4PM; others may call-in and join the discussion at 1-800-989-TALK.
The first hour of the broadcast will include
a discussion about America's health care crisis and how a new "health care
constitution" in Massachusetts may serve as a template for what could happen
elsewhere. In the second hour, the focus moves to the millions of Americans
that are seeking health care outside the traditional doctor's office and the
alternative methods that are starting to gain respect from the medical
community.
NPR's midday call-in program Talk of the
Nation is traveling to cities and towns across America for monthly radio
"town hall" meetings before live audiences. These meetings will occur in
conjunction with programming on Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
Entitled The Changing Face of America, the program series is supported by
a grant from The Pew Charitable Trusts.
Talk of the Nation can be heard in Boston on
WBUR 90.9 FM from 2 PM to 4PM Monday through Thursday.
